Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine: Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined.
- Make red batter: Remove ¾ cup batter, mix with extra cocoa, sugar, food coloring, and vinegar.
- Preheat waffle iron: Lightly grease and heat.
- Marble batter: Add base batter, dollop red batter on top, and gently swirl.
- Cook: Close waffle iron and cook 4–6 minutes until crisp.
- Serve: Enjoy warm with desired toppings.
